Overview
BA Group (M) Sdn. Bhd (BAG) is a wholly Bumiputera-owned Malaysian Company incorporated in 2009, specializing in engineering design, construction and project management. There are several companies under its wing with interests ranging from construction, civil and structural, mechanical and electrical, investment, property development and crude oil trading.
BAG has 8 directors and key personnel at the helm who have been involved in private and government projects locally and internationally. The directors and key personnel have an average of more than 25 years’ experience under their belts ranging from small to mega projects in financing, commercial, residential and township property development, design and implementation in local and international infrastructural works. They are also experienced in managing construction contracts and cost control of building and mega infrastructural projects in Malaysia as well as overseas.
The projects undertaken by the directors and key personnel inter-alia include the Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) in Johor Bahru, Almaty-Kapchagay Highway and Kapchagay Airport in Kazakstan, Federal Territory Mosque at Jalan Duta in Kuala Lumpur, Electrified Double Track Ipoh-Rawang, Electrified Double Track Ipoh-Padang Besar, LRT3 projects by MRCB and George Kent, Polytechnic in Mersing, residential and commercial developments in Taman Danau Desa and Laman Rimbunan, Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.
The team had also undertaken the construction of a large number of highways, bridges and expressways such as Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur-Shah Alam Expressway, a portion of the Malaysian North-South Expressway and Sungai Besi - Ulu Klang Expressway (SUKE). They also designed and constructed projects such as Malaysian Embassies in Bangkok, Thailand, Washington DC, USA, Dubai and a few others. The total combined value of works handled and managed by the directors and key personnel is worth more than USD40 billion.
In the construction business, JPZ Construction & Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (JPZ), a wholly owned company of BAG, undertakes construction works locally and overseas. JPZ is a Bumiputera Company registered with Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) as a Grade G7 company with capability to take-up any contract work of unlimited contract sum (www.cidb.gov. my) and ISO 9001:2015.
JPZ has been involved in the construction and development sector for the past 25 years. Among the projects that were managed by key personnel include the construction of the Burj Khalifa Tower in Dubai, the integrated development of Jabal Omar at Masjidil Haram, Mecca Saudi Arabia, the development of the Federal Government Administrative Centre of Putrajaya, the construction of the Shah Alam Highway (KESAS), the construction and operation of the Ampang – Kuala Lumpur Elevated Expressway (AKLEH) and the Malaysian Embassy Building project in Bangkok and Washington DC. JPZ also completed the Mersing Polytechnic Complex in Johor. The overall value of the projects undertaken and managed by JPZ and our key personnel exceeded RM35 Billion.
With these experiences, BAG is capable of undertaking any design and construction of building and infrastructural works locally and abroad based on turn-key and EPCC (Engineering Procurement Construction and Commissioning) arrangements. In addition, BAG is also equipped with experience in arranging project financing with deferred payment schemes.
